Giovanna Maria Dimitri Is a Tenure Track Assistant Professor in Computer Science at the University of Milan Statale (Milan, Italy) and Guest Lecturer in Data Science at the University of Cambridge (Cambridge, UK). She completed her PhD at the Department of Computer Science, University of Cambridge (Cambridge, UK). Her research concerns the applications of deep learning and data science to a wide variety of fields of applications, with a focus on biomedical data and forensics applications, with publications in top peer reviewed journals and conferences. She is Senior Associate Editor of the IEEE Transactions in Technology and Society and of the Neurocomputing journal (Elsevier). She has been the chair of the Conference of Complex Systems 2025 (CCS25) together with several other workshops and events in major ML and AI venues.
