Stefano Montanelli is professor of computer science at the Department of Computer Science of the University of Milan. He is a member of the Data Science Research Center and is Chair of the Master’s degree program in Data Science for Economics and Health at the same university. He was the local coordinator of the EU H2020 VAST project (Values Across Space and Time, grant agreement 101004949) and participated in the ERC Tacitroots Project (the Accademia del Cimento in Florence: Tracing the roots of the European scientific enterprise, grant agreement 818098). His research interests include data management and integration, data science, and human-in-the-loop data management. He actively participates in national and international research projects, collaborating with academic and industrial institutions on multidisciplinary applications of computer science with a focus on the humanities, social sciences, and law.
